Surprising your best friend on her 30th birthday to show her how much you love her only to have her so surprised she shuts the door in your face: priceless.
Anyone who knows me, knows about Angela. She has been my best friend ever since she moved in during our 7th grade year. Our birthdays are only 2 weeks and 1 day apart. We've always celebrated our birthdays for the whole month of May.
Here's Angela's husband (Rob) bringing her her cake. I had talked to Rob months earlier about this and he said it would no problem for us to show up and stay for a couple days. Of course, when Ang called the day before I left wondering why Rob was acting funny about the guest room being ready, I had to play it off and hope she didn't figure me out.
Make a wish Ang:
April (Angela's sister), Me (holding Sofia), and Angela (who is due mid-June) at her Texas BBQ party. Mmmm, brisket, cream corn, pulled pork... Sooooo yummy! Later that night we put our kids to bed and all hung out in the basement watching "The Biggest Loser" finale. Of course, our husbands were asleep long before us. Time always flies when you're having a good time!
The next day we went kite flying with Ang and her cute kids! Dan was great at building the complicated rectangle princess kite. He must be a dad of girls.

Sof couldn't stand the excitement and decided to take a nap.
Bria loved it!! She was the first time she's ever flown a kite and loved it!
Until it got caught on the play ground and Dad had to rescue it.

Bria's kite string got caught on the basketball chain and kept flying high! If you look closely you'll see the string go from Bria's hand, to the basketball hoop, to the kite!
After we wore out the kites, we went to lunch at Craigos. We left from there, so we had to pack up. Here's Sof "helping" Daddy get ready. 
After Craigos, we realized that we didn't have a picture with Angela and her 30th birthday present, me. :)
We got a little slap happy...
