Meeting Baby Joseph

After spending some wonderful time with Angela and her family, we drove 3 hours South to Orem, UT to visit our family and to meet the newest member, Joseph Alisa. He is Gioey and Joe's first baby and we love him so much already! Knowing that she was at Babbo and Nonna's house, Bria was up with the sun and asking Babbo for the bubbles that they always keep stocked for her. This time it came with a bubble gun.

She had so much fun with some one-on-one time with Nonna and Babbo.

Later in the morning, we went to Spanish Oaks Elementary and saw my old classroom and most importantly, we saw one of my best teacher friends, Shanna Stirland. We taught 5th grade together and it was one of my favorite years teaching. She is still an awesome friend! It was great to see all my former colleagues and show off my family.A little bribery goes a long way to let someone you don't know hold you...

Later that day, we hung out on the patio and let the kids play in the yard. Angie and Jesus are holding Sof while we catch up. Angie is 20 weeks pregnant and expecting her first boy in October!! Jesus brought over one of his new toys- a little 4-wheeler. Stacie (my sister), Matt (my brother who just came home from his mission), and my little nephew, Brody, came over to see us! Brody loved hanging out on the 4-wheeler with his Uncle Dan!!

Mia has always been so good to Bria since she was born. Now that Sof is here, Mia is exactly the same with her, too. Mia loves to hold and walk with Sof, and it's so cute to watch Sofia light up when Mia plays with her!As soon as Gioey came over with Baby Joseph, Bria was right by his side. She loves babies and especially her new little cousin!
I got out Nonna's cool park blanket and attempted to keep Sofia on it. She crawled right off as soon as she got used to touching grass.

When Talia came over, she asked if Bria had her outfit that matched her. Of course, Bria was thrilled to match her cousin!Bria and her cousins (Cole, Derik, Gabe) helped in playing with the bubble guns. We were sad to see Kylie had broken her toe at gymnastics the day before we got there. She was a trooper and such a tough girl!

Something so rare, we had to get proof: Spencer all by himself with 2 babies.

After Bria went to sleep we went out to join the s'more making party.

The next day (the day we drove home) we met up with Stacie, Brandon, Brody, Matt, Taylor, one of my good friends, Marie, at Chick-fil-a for breakfast (tradition). We then went to Gabe's baseball game to see him and say goodbye to everyone. Here is a shot of Miss Marie and Me before we left for home.

We had a great time and packed a lot in 2 1/2 days! We can't wait to do it all again in June!
